Welcome to my website…

…which is the home of PHM Publishing and Production and the Brass Band Heritage Trust, which I established in 1996. I have been producing CD and download recordings of classical and band music for over 30 years and have picked up some awards along the way. I am especially proud of the projects I have originated, curated or produced recordings of music by Frank Bridge ( for Chandos) and Wilfred Heaton (for Divine Art / Doyen/World of Brass). Since 2012 I have published my own editions and arrangements for brass, choir and orchestra. You will also find here further information about my research and writing, which has focussed on British music and bands for our four decades. The PHM Publishing catalogue includes new and vintage music for brass band orchestra instruments and voices. I also include pages on the life and music of Wilfred Heaton (1918-2000), whose biography I published in 2025, and on the life and work of Bridge (1879 – 1941). You’ll also find news updates, an occasional blog or research article and selected audio links to my Soundcloud and You Tube sites.
